What is the Insurance Fund? The insurance fund covers shortfalls that occur when a trader's position is liquidated at a price worse than their bankruptcy price. Without it, profitable traders would bear the cost of these losses.
How is it funded? 1% of all trading fees are automatically routed to the insurance fund. Over time, this builds a healthy reserve that protects the exchange from auto-deleveraging events.
